Erik Höglund's 'people' decanters were first made in 1955 at Boda, Sweden, and are arguably his most famous work. This small male variant is an early example from around 1957, and features heaps of personality with his muscular arms & expressive face.

Höglund developed his distinct style during the 1950's, taking inspiration from simple shapes & primordial forms. His work was often figural, and can be described as abstract, rustic and honest.
