A pair of brass candlesticks by Danish designer Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Designs, 1958.
In-keeping with Quistgaard's sculptural approach to design, the tapered form of these candlesticks is both sinuous and angular. Their shape is sleek and elegant whilst being dramatically modernist.
Jens Quistgaard was a seminal designer who greatly helped to popularise the 'Danish Modern' aesthetic during the 1950's and 60's. The candlesticks feature the early 'Four Ducks' mark.
