A 'Kuukuna' sculpture designed by Nanny Still for Riihimäki glassworks, 1971.
The name 'Kuukuna' is in reference to the puffball mushroom, which in Finland is colloquially known as "Kuukunanmuna" (Moon Egg).
Encased within the glass object are inclusions of coloured metallic flakes. They have been arranged in the manner of an atomic bomb, to emulate the dramatic, explosive sporing of a puffball.
