Nuutajärvi Glassworks Large Bowl

A substantial serving bowl made by the Nuutajärvi Glassworks, circa 1955. Having seen a stickered version of this giant bowl, we can assuredly attribute it to the Nuutajärvi factory, Finland. However, we are still to find evidence confirming the designer.

This hand-blown bowl is large and heavy, and the form is universal. It can be used as a mixing bowl, punch bowl, or for fruit. The warm, rich amber-brown colour and handmade nature of the item makes this piece highly decorative when not in use.
