Walter Bosse Family of Foxes
A family of brass foxes designed by Walter Bosse and produced by Herta Baller, Austria, in the 1950's.
In response to the enduring drear of postwar years in Central Europe, Bosse designed his whimsical 'black-golden' line of patinated brass animals to "make as many people as possible happy."
This decorative trio includes an adult fox with two cubs. Each figure has been stylised in a modernist and playful fashion, particularly the largest, who sits in a reclined position.
