Walter Bosse Fish Letter Rack
A large patinated and polished brass fish designed by Walter Bosse in the early 1950's and beautifully handmade in Vienna, Austria, by the Herta Baller workshop.
This friendly fish has been stylised in the playful & informal manner so typical of Bosse's much-loved work. Balanced on two fins, this Modernist design features a round body & characterful face. Letters can be safely stored behind his large dorsal fin.
The fish belongs to Bosse's renowned & highly collectable ‘black-golden’ line of cast brass sculptures and home accessories in the form of animals. This piece is larger and more substantial than the majority of Bosse's work, and would make an exceptional & useful addition to any home.
